The answer to the trivia question is All in the Family. AITF begat Maude, which begat Good Times and The Jeffersons which begat Checking In. AITF also begat Gloria which (only lasted one season) and begat nothing. Several other shows spawned three or four spin-offs, but with five, AITF wins. Just for fun, the others are:
