GARAGE HEATERS – THE LATEST HOME IMPROVEMENT TREND

(KANSAS CITY – December 9, 2009) - Long cold Kansas City winters are nothing new. But how homeowners are dealing with them is. Whether the goal is to heat the space for a workshop, warm the floors of the rooms above, reduce the chance of pipes freezing or make “Spot” more comfortable, utilizing an infrared heater to warm the garage is becoming more and more popular.

At this time of the year, the request for garage heaters is high,” said Steve Burbridge, owner of Anthony Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. “If you work at all in your garage, you know how cold it can get out there. Plus, homeowners love to get into a warm, dry car each morning. These heaters offer an efficient and economical way to heat that space and make it useful during the winter months. They really make a lot of sense.”

A typical two-car garage comprises approximately 20% of the square footage in an average home. During the winter that is space that is drastically under-utilized. With garage heaters, homeowners are adding usable space and comfort to their homes. An added bonus is that because they run on natural gas, homeowners have heat even during a power outage.
