Anthony...Youngest Master Plumber of his Time
Tony (Anthony, right) was a native of Providence, Rhode Island and after learning the practices of plumbing and heating, his work transferred him to Kansas City in 1949. After spending six weeks in the Midwest and working on different job sites in Chicago, Texas, and Arizona, Tony picked Kansas City to settle down with his family.

Business Started in Prairie Village, Kansas
Tony D’Agostino and his wife, Mayme (left), started Anthony Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling in 1951 in the basement of the family’s home at 7538 Mohawk, Prairie Village, KS. As the business grew, so did the family clan adding five sons to the work force. Paul, the oldest, started in the business like many others as a youngster running and fetching for his father. By the end of high school, he was technically a full journeyman plumber taking his share of service calls. At Kansas University, he also earned an engineering degree.

D'Agostinos Emphasizes Quality Work and Customer Service
In 1991, Paul developed an interest in total quality management. He began to re-enforce the service division efforts on “the customer”. His management philosophy became very different from other contractors at the time, taking care of customer and employee needs as the most important aspects of his business. New leadership in 2007 . . . Steve Burbridge & Cecil Davis
In 2007, Paul D’Agostino and his wife, Cassandra, sold the business. The new owners, Steve Burbridge (formerly of Neal Harris Co.), and Cecil Davis have vowed to grow the business to new levels and instill the values of true service throughout. Steve, much like Paul D’Agostino, learned much about the plumbing and the HVAC business through his dad Ralph Burbridge. Ralph Burbridge bought Neal Harris Company in 1982 from Neal when it was a one-truck, two-man operation. Coincidentally, The Burbridge and the D’Agostino families were acquaintances
from Steve’s younger years growing up in Prairie Village, Kansas.

The Legacy Continues
Although, Tony D’Agostino is only alive in memories, Anthony Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling today has all the experience and history of both families combined to offer the best service in the Kansas City area.

Tony Retires . . . Sons Take Over
After working outside the family business for several years, Paul and his brother John purchased the family business from their parents in 1981. This allowed the founders to retire and the next generation to take over the helm. Then, the brothers expanded the business to full mechanical contracting as well as full plumbing, heating, cooling, service and repair. (Right, Tony and his sons)
