Tips on how to prevent your water pipes from freezing!

1. Call Anthony PHC for a free estimate to help prevent freezing pipe problems.
   
   
2. Keep cabinet doors open under sinks.
   
   
3. Turn off the main water service valve for the home if you leave and you have frozen pipes.
   
   
4. Make sure the crawl space or unfinished basement area stays above 40 degrees.
   
   
5. Fill all cracks and gaps around basement windows and insulate all rim joist space.
   
   
6. Insulate all the water piping in areas that may have problems.
   
   
7. Keep a slow steam of water running in any faucet that has water piping that may not be protected if the wind chill gets down to 0 or in the low teens.
   
   
8. For plumbing protection above garage, add a garage heater from Anthony PHC that only needs natural gas to work ( no electricity needed)
   
   
9. Use a heat tape type power cord for problem area piping.
   
   
10. Use a shop light to help heat any area that may get below 32 degrees.
    
    
11. Use a safe electric space heater in crawl space or unfinished areas.
